We are extremely pleased to let everyone know that Belmont High School, Edward Milne High School, the Spartans and the Rebels football organizations will be working cooperatively this year in a combined effort towards promoting and improving access to local amateur football. Together for the first time, these football organizations are planning a jointly operated football development camp that will be starting this March as well as a fall flag league later this year.
This is a terrific opportunity to try out the sport of football, you are guaranteed to have a great time with no football experience required. So if you've been waiting for a good opportunity to give football a try - this is your chance. There is only a $30 registration fee to participate.
For more information please contact Kevin Harrington at 250 896-3649 or the school #478-5501 (ext. 639) or by email at

Hello All,
My name is Kevin Harrington and I am a PE teacher and Football coach at Belmont Secondary School. I want to give everyone the opportunity to be a part of the team this year. Last year we did phone outs and we still had students coming and asking to play on the team once we had already started. We are currently practicing and invite you to come out and try some football. No previous experience is required.
This is our fifth year with a JV (grade 8-10 team) and a Varsity team (grade 11-12) and our participation is growing every year.
WHO:
Anyone entering Grades 8 - 11 at John Stubbs, Spencer, Dunsmuir or Belmont are welcome. We are working towards building two teams so we need a lot of new players!
When:
Training begins Wednesday, February 3, 2010. Make sure to participate in the training sessions to get the most out of the season. Drop by even if you have not participated in football before and we'll get you involved in the program.
- Varsity & Jr. Varsity DPL training - Each Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and each Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Practices are held at the new City Centre field
- Training Practice includes (Spotswood Gym Belmont School) VICROSSFIT training
How Much:
- 20 Training sessions = Free
- Make the Team = $400 refunded gear deposit / $350 registration
Note: If money is the reason why you are not coming out speak to Coach Harrington and we can try and work with your family to ensure you are on the field!
If you have any questions please contact Kevin at 250 896-3649 or the school #478-5501 (ext. 639) or by email at
